SIMONEINK INTERNSHIP 2020

As a public relations intern for simoneink in the summer of 2020, I gained knowledge and experience working in a hospitality public relations agency in Washington, D.C. I worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from restaurants in the D.C. area to hotels and bars in New Orleans, Louisiana. My primary project was building and creating content for the new website for one of the simoneink clients, Bayou Bakery. Using Wordpress, Keynote, and the simoneink server, I built the webpages and promotional content for the site before it launched for the restaurant's reopening in July 2020.

Along with my website project, I conducted media scans and social media updates for all of the simoneink clients each day and sent them to the office for review. I also implemented a new system for organizing and disseminating current events relating to clients and general social awareness topics. Furthermore, in my role as a public relations intern, I engaged in a variety of office tasks to assist my colleagues with various projects while learning as much as possible about the public relations hospitality industry.
